Mr Modisa Sedimo, sedimo@ub.ac.bw(Note new email address)

Picture of Mr Sedimo, Cartographer Modisa Sedimo joined the University of Botswana in 2001 as a Cartographer in the Geology Department, Faculty of Science. He then joined the History Department in 2003. He has previously worked as a GIS Specialist at Wellfield Consulting, a locally based Water Resources Engineering Consulting Firm (1999-2001) and at the Department of Town and Regional Planning in the then Ministry of Local Government Lands and Housing (1994-1999).

He has training in Certificate in Surveying and Levelling (Ramotswa 1993), Certificate in Cartography (BPSC Gaborone 1993) and Draughting, and BTEC National Diploma in Geographical Information Systems (Kingston College, London, United Kingdom 1997). He has attended workshops in Spatial Analysis (Creating & Managing the Geodatabase, Introduction to ARCGIS 11, Introduction to ARCGIS 1), GIS and Remote Sensing as applied to Geology and Hydrogeology, all organised by EDDI Project and Attended a Training Workshop on Dynamic Knowledgebase and Dynamic Maps organised by the Food & Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, Harare, Zimbabwe.
